The disproportionate burden of COVID-19 mortality among older adults during the early stages of the pandemic is well documented.- However, little is known about associations between subsequent developments (eg, vaccine availability) and the age pattern of mortality. In this study, we examined changes in age-specific COVID-19 mortality rates by sex and by race and ethnicity.
