Course: Progressive Skin Depressions in a Child’s Neck

A 2-year-old girl who was otherwise healthy presented with a 10-month history of asymptomatic skin depressions in her neck, nape, and submandibular regions. The lesion initially occurred as an erythema in the neck and progressed centrifugally to the nape and submandibular areas. Atrophy was observed in the center of the lesion, surrounded by an erythematous border, with underlying blood vessels being visible deep to the atrophy (, A).
