Researchers analyzed data from 56 US health departments that received CDC funding for their coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response efforts. The analysis showed that from late June to late July 2020, caseloads among health departments ranged from 1 to 196, with an average of 31 cases per contact tracer.
