Stamford Hospital, a member of Stamford Health, invites applications for a Board Certified/Board Eligible gynecologic oncologist to serve as Director of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position offers the opportunity to lead a mature and well-established program with a strong referral base and to participate in the continued expansion of comprehensive cancer services at Stamford Health. Stamford Hospital is a major teaching affiliate of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with stand-alone residency programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and General Surgery. The successful candidate will join a program historically supported by contracted rotating GYN/ONC physicians and will now transition to a full-time, institutionally supported gynecologic oncology service. Recruitment of a second gynecologic oncologist is anticipated in conjunction with the opening of Stamford Health's new Cancer Center in 2028. Chemotherapy services are provided by on-site medical oncologists. Stamford Health utilizes the EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care in gynecologic oncology (approximately 90% clinical effort)

  • Contribute to administrative leadership of the program (approximately 10% effort)

  • Teach and mentor OB/GYN residents and medical students

  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with medical, surgical, and radiation oncology colleagues

  • Engage in clinical research and support access to clinical trials

  • Perform surgery in state-of-the-art operating rooms, including access to three robotic surgical platforms

  • Participate in a light call schedule (1 week in 4), shared with urogynecologists

$470,877 - $584,723 annually
